As I mentioned before, I went to Crossings department store to find some flats. The hunt for my next go-to flats was a success, but along the way I found some makeup products I wanted to try out.
These brands aren’t that new. In fact, there have been some buzz going on about them. I’m talking about Collection Cosmetics and Sleek Makeup. Both brands originated in the UK. Also, they are very affordable, something anyone will like.
First off, here are my goodies…
So I got the Storm eyeshadow palette and Pout Polish in Pink Cadillac from Sleek. And from Collection Cosmetics, I got two lipsticks, two shimmer shades, and a volumizing mascara.
I’m not really into balms in pot form but the color is just so vibrant! And it did not disappoint. This is now a staple in my makeup bag.
The eyeshadow palette has some really wearable shades and I love how this palette has a rose gold shadow I have been looking for. Honestly, As I was buying it, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. I’m just not sure which Naked palette, so I went and compared them.
As you can see, the Storm palette has some similar shades with both Urban Decay Naked Palettes. It has some cool and warm shades. So it really is a good mix. Also, the pigment of the Storm Palette is really good. I was a little surprise by the quality, honestly.
Now, onto the Collection Cosmetics…
These two Shimmer Shades are the first things that caught my eye. This is the first time I bought such a blush product. I was really drawn into, how both blushes have all the basic colors you may need for blushes! Also, you can use some of the cubes as highlighting and bronzing shades (Way To Glow). I have been reaching for these two for a while now, and they are really good. The packaging is a little bulky but the pigments are good. They are not chalky and goes on smoothly. They are quickly becoming my favorite blushes! I love how you can mix all four shades in one cube or choose just one shade. I love the versatility the product gives.
I was curious with their lip products so I got some. And as can you see from the photo, I immediately used the shade Satin Bow as soon as I paid for it. Yup, as it went through the scanner, I opened and used it. And I do love it! The pigment is nice and color payoff and good. But the lasting power is not so nice. But that doesn’t really bother me much.
I’m not a fan of the Big Fake Mascara. I did like the wand, but I noticed, that after a few minutes I applied the mascara on my lashes, they kind of went back from being straight. That’s been a major issue for my straight eyelashes for years and it has been a little tricky for me to choose the right mascara.
All in all, it was a fun haul! Have you tried any of these products? Share your experiences!
