Last night, the family went out to dinner, just because the Parentals felt like it. For me, it was just another chance to try out some new makeup. This time, as I was rummaging through my eyeliners, I thought why not try something differently tonight. So I did.
Since I’m still in a hiatus from applying eye makeup, I have been obsessed with lip products. I keep buying them. I know I have to stop myself from doing this but then I saw the new Maybelline Bold Matte Lipsticks. Also, I have always wanted to try L’oreal’s Miss Candy Collection Lipstick.
So I got two new Maybelline Bold Matte Lipsticks in MAT1 and MAT3 and one L’oreal’s Miss Candy Collection Lipstick in the shade Miss Strawberry.
Yesterday was a full day for me, which why I wasn’t able to post a blog. But, never fret, I got time to do it now. So, to recap, I have 2 Lip Diary entry for yesterday’s look. Why? well, it’s fun that way!
In the morning, I went to my dentist, so as you know, wearing a bold lip color is just not a good idea at the time, because it would probably just end up all over my face. But I can’t just leave home without putting a product on my lips and risk looking so pale. My decision, lip balm! My current favorite is Maybelline’s Baby Lips Color in Berry Crush. It keeps my lips moisturized with just a hint of color. Here is my first lip diary entry.
I haven’t seen my lips so naturally plush like this before. It was the appropriate look at that time.
Next, I went about my afternoon and was surprised how hard it was raining, considering it was supposed to be Summer already. That just inspired me to pick my Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Bellissima. I just love the name of this shade, and of course, it’s super long lasting too.
Yup, I went peach second time in a row! This time, I went for a matte finish. I’ve been playing favorites to my liquid lipsticks nowadays because you really just need a small amount of product and it goes a long way. And the pigments are just intense and true to the product.
Here are the products that I used:
Ever had those good old favorite products but is no longer available in your area? Well, I know exactly how that feels!
I have some makeup products that I love so much but can no longer find them here in Manila. Here they are:
Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of fashion spreads where models with the popular cat’s eye makeup or winged eyeliner to some.
This eye makeup style is one of my favorites because it’s such a classic, it was common look during the 1950’s and think about Ancient Egypt and Cleopatra, it’s very wearable whether at night or during the day, it would just rely on the intensity of the “wing” or how sharp and how far you would extend the pointed tip.
Perfecting this look by making sure both eyes have a similar amount of eye liner and same tip may be a bit of a challenge at times. But I’ve found a way to make it easier.
First, Let me show you the eye products I’ll use.
I’m obsessed with long lavish lashes — those thick and naturally curled up eyelashes. I know it’s very easy to imitate them with the power of false eyelashes. The thing is I don’t like wearing them myself. I swear by their instant effects of making the eyes look bigger and brightening one’s face, but I just don’t feel comfortable wearing them.
My alternative is to apply several coats of mascara.
Here’s my personal mascara collection:
